How to choose a fan coil unit

The choice of fan coil unit is a key issue. It is a common practice in air-conditioning system design to select coil units based on the cooling load of the air-conditioned room to ensure room temperature during peak loads. In fact, the air-conditioned room will not be at peak load most of the time, which will lead to excess cooling capacity. Instead, it switches to low-to-mid-range operation, reducing the output of cooling capacity, thereby maintaining the thermal balance of the room. When selecting a fan coil unit, in addition to the cooling capacity to meet the requirements of calculating the cooling load, it is also required to meet the matching of sensible heat and latent heat to meet the requirements of room heat-humidity ratio; the air volume meets the requirements of supply air temperature difference, ventilation times and airflow organization. As the terminal equipment of the central air conditioner, the quality of the coil determines the effect of the indoor air conditioner. At the same time, its cleaning problem also directly affects the use effect of central air conditioning. There are many dust particles in the atmosphere. Under the action of suction and return air for a long time, the aluminum fins of the fan are covered with dust and dirt. At this time, on the one hand, the heat exchange between the cold water and the hot air is affected, and the air temperature drops. On the other hand, it also affects the delivery of cold air that has been cooled after heat exchange, resulting in the phenomenon that the room is still not cold when the air conditioner is turned on.

Understanding of fan coil units

The external static pressure of the fan coil unit can be divided into standard type and high static pressure type, and can be divided into two rows and three rows according to the number of heat exchange coils. Fan coil unit is referred to as fan coil unit. It is one of the end devices of the air-conditioning system and consists of small fans, motors and coils (air heat exchangers). It is controlled by an electrical switch, and the cooling (heating) amount of the fan coil is adjusted accordingly. The fan is the power source for conveying air, and it is also the source of disturbance to strengthen the convective heat transfer on the air side (outer surface of the coil). Together with the motor, it is the main noise source of the unit. Coil: is an air-water heat exchanger made of finned tubes. Refrigerant water (hot water) flows in the tubes. Since the temperature of the refrigerant water is lower than the dew point temperature of the air, there is condensed water on the outer surface of the tube, which is a heat exchange in a humid state, which has both heat exchange and mass exchange, which improves the heat exchange effect. The coils bear most or all of the indoor air conditioning load, with 3-4 rows of pipes. Condensation pan: It is placed under the coil with the drain pipe, and its function is to receive the water droplets that are continuously condensed on the coil and discharge it to the outside through the drain pipe. Air filter: Placed under the coil with drain pipe, its function is to receive the water droplets that are constantly condensing on the coil, and discharge it outdoors through the drain pipe. The fan coil unit can be divided into water circuit and air circuit.
