Product Description
"Great Wall Cigar" is one of China's long-established domestic cigar brands, which was created in the late 1950s. In 1964, the then Sichuan Shifang Cigarette Factory (now the Sichuan-Yuzhong Tobacco Great Wall Cigar Factory) rolled special cigars for the central governor. There is still a secret history of cigar "132" named after the special cigarette number.
In the late 1950s, Sichuan Shifang Cigarette Factory began rolling cigars for Marshal He Long. In the summer of 1964, Chairman Mao suffered a cold and coughed very badly when smoking. It happened that Li Xiannian came to visit, and after seeing it, he recommended Shi Fang cigar to Chairman Mao, saying that Mr. He smoked this kind of cigarette and coughed obviously. Sure enough, Chairman Mao was addicted and did not cough, so he became very interested in this cigar. Sichuan Shifang Cigarette Factory has since produced special cigars for Chairman Mao. After conducting hundreds of trials, 35 samples of the formula were selected and sent to Beijing for selection by the central leadership. Chairman Mao chose No. 2 and other central leaders chose No. 13. In addition, in consideration of transportation, safety and other issues, in the second half of 1971, the Central Office sent a person to study at the Sichuan Shifang Cigarette Factory, intending to directly produce special cigars in Beijing in the future. Because the production process is very complicated, it is not easy to learn in a short time, so he decided to relocate the special cigar rolling group to Beijing and settled on South Changan Street opposite Zhongnanhai. For the sake of confidentiality, according to the formula number selected by the central leadership, the cigar production team is called "132" internally and "360 mailbox" externally. This is the origin of the little-known "132" secret history of the "Great Wall Cigar".
